about

This little album contains 3(+1) songs which i recorded with my former band Silveretta between 2002 and 2007.

From time to time we recorded some instrumental post-rockish tunes that were a bit out of context to the music we normally made. a while ago i found these songs again on my HD and decided to remaster them and release them under the label 'The Atlas Amp'. The Quality may not be the best because we didn´t know much about hi-class recording and mixing back then...

Some Background Info:

'Red Is Blue' was recorded 2003 on an old tascam 8-track tape-recorder in our rehearsal room. the synth melody in the back and the weird effects are made with an old Korg MS-20. The speaker in the background is Daniel Defoe talking about his first role in the movie 'jaws'.

'And Remember, Alway Be Nice To The Barkeeper' was a track we recorded 2002 during our studio-session as we recorded a silveretta album called 'first aid kit'. the core of the song was literally a first-take recording. the idea, the composition and the arrangement were invented just 2 hours before we hit the record button...

'Serpentine' is a track we recorded 2007. again a rehearsal room recording.

...contains a Bonus Track.

i hope you listeners out there enjoy this little collection.

<3, Chris
